The following resources are available when looking for facilities on an academic campus. You can also consult our list of Event Locations.
All room reservations should be done by an event organiser, using a Many Isles email address. If in doubt, refer to the Pantheon.
IMPORTANT: When reserving a room, please document any authorizations you receive adequately in the Drive (PDF if possible, or a .eml download). This way, you will also have proof of your reservation available the day of the event, if you need it.
Rooms managed by the ETH rectorate can be viewed on the Rauminformationen page. Many different kinds of rooms are available, though usually eating - even snacks - is prohibited.
WARNING: ETH takes a very long time to process reservation/permit requests. You should make your request at least 2 months in advance.
To reserve a room, you need to use the Servix tool. This must be done by an ETH student. Navigate to servix.ethz.ch, click on "Login (internal)", and then "My Applications" to create a new reservation application.
The permit office will also handle contact with the Raumreservation to actually reserve the room. No further steps should be necessary, unless this is a special context (especially for weekend events), in which case you should contact the building's housekeeper directly.
HG E 41: A large, variable-seating seminar room. Suitable for socials. (Snack situation unknown, probably disallowed.)
PB Labs: Very nice, large rooms with optimal seating for workshops. To reserve, first check the Microsoft Outlook calendar if it's available, then submit the form.
Seminar rooms: There are many good small rooms. Ones in HG like E 22, 23 and the 30s, as well as the 40s in CHN, are fine for smaller events. Snacks not allowed.
SV Group rooms: Though owned by ETH, they are run by SV Group. Food&Lab: stay away, situation with catering unclear (go through Marius / GECo). Polymensa: not available.
An overview of all bookable university rooms can be found on 3V-Rooms. Precise information about all rooms is available on Uniability.
When you find a suitable room, click on the calendar at the time the event should start, and click "Formular für bewilligungspflichtige Veranstaltung öffnen". This will bring you to the form to reserve the room.
It could be possible to use KO2 after building closure (announcement 21:45, finished 22:00), not so KOL.
Good Rooms: KO2-F-152 (6-8 games, faucet in adjoining meeting room); KOL-G-212 (top floor, hot when sun); KOL-H-309 (up to 6-7 games, snacks allowed, main building); RAA-E-30 (4 games, snacks allowed, no faucet).
The Stübli can be reserved via this page; make sure to check its availability beforehand.
The VSETH has many rooms which it directly owns; it is especially useful to quickly reserve a meeting room. As a GECo RPG OK member, log into your VSETH Outlook email, then click on "calendar" and add the event, selecting the proper room while doing so. See here for more detailed information.
StuZ: The StuZ is a beast of its own, especially given its sizable cost. For now, no Many Isles event should require a StuZ room, though note we do have members with TAB Ausbildung.
